Perelman Performing Arts Center

Captivating photo captures the city lights from a fountain, creating a mesmerizing scene.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC) opened its doors to the public on September 19th, 2023. This new jewel in Lower Manhattan has been twenty years in the making and promises to bring people together through theater, dance, music, opera and multi-disciplinary performances from New York and around the world.

Passerby’s remain in awe of the design. Unique elements include the fact that the building glows from both the inside and outside due in part to 5,000 veined translucent marble tiles that cover the exterior of the façade. To produce this masterpiece, the panels were first transported to France for lamination, then sent to Germany where they were attached to each other. When the tiles were shipped to the U.S. the veins were aligned to match each other. To reduce energy, the stone on the façade was covered in glass.

Visitors to PAC are invited to enjoy free performances in the lobby, thoughtful programming options and decadent culinary offerings at Metropolis by Award-Winning Chef Marcus Samuelsson.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center is a quick 5 minute walk from The Beekman. To view their programming schedule, please visit www.pacnyc.org, or speak with our Concierge team.
